Learning Disability, Autism and Neurodivergence (LDAN) Bill Consultation

The Scottish Government’s new LDAN Bill is currently out for consultation, and closes for responses on 21st April.  The Justice section (section 10) is of particular interest to SOLD.

We urge all of our justice partners to submit a response to the consultation, and support the arguments for improvements in equity of access to justice for people with communication support needs.  We believe the Bill presents an opportunity for real change.

Please use this link to read our proposal paper which might help to inform your response:

We would be very interested to hear the views of as many people with learning disabilities, autism and neurodiversity as possible, and we are especially keen that these voices are heard and represented.
